About Chronically Creative

About us

An eco friendly kids media company with an important message: “Be kind to your mind and to others”

Chronically Creative is founded by presenter, voice actor and actress Helena Mitchell after many months of development in June 2021.

Having lived with multiple chronic health conditions, Helena created Chronically Creative as a way to give back, educate and inspire the next generation to dream big and know that they can be anything or anyone they want to be.

Why the name?

Why the name?

Chronically Creative has two meanings. From an outside point of view it means to always be creative, which is what describes our founder Helena’s life. However, when you get to know us better you’ll understand there is more to Chronically Creative than just being always creative. Helena lives with 8 autoimmune chronic conditions and is an advocate for raising awareness of chronic health conditions, eliminating the stigma and helping those like her understand they are not alone and they are more than just a label.

COVID has highlighted an increase in mental health and social isolation.

“40% of respondents said that there was no school counsellor available to support students in their school”*

“67% believed that the pandemic will have a long-term negative effect on their mental health.”*

“More than a quarter of children (aged 5–16 years) and young people (aged 17–22) reported disrupted sleep
and one in ten (5·4% of children and 13·8% of young people) often or always felt lonely.”**

  • I want to use my experiences to help others

  • I want to Help others like me, I believe that we can and will be able to achieve whatever we want to

  • If I can help just one child through this series not have to go through the trauma and stigma that I did then I will have succeeded
